Atropos: one of the three Fates, who cuts the thread of human life.

A bodice top inspired by 18th century stays. This historical silhouette lifts the bust and gently compresses the waist. Crafted from a silk-cotton duchesse satin, the centre panel is slashed open to reveal a contrasting 'wound' beneath.

This wound embellishment can be customised to customer preferences: either with intricate hand beading, or sleek satin with a single crystal droplet.

This top is lined with strong cotton coutil and is structured with a mix of synthetic baleen and flat steel boning. It fastens at the centre back with metal eyelets and cotton lacing. The shoulder straps are adjustable with metal eyelets and satin ribbon.

Please note that each piece is hand made to order. The exact size, placement and beads of the wound may vary slightly from product photos. The slashed black satin may fray slightly over time; this is a feature of the design rather than a fault.

Fit & Sizes

Sized by dress size. Designed to give a push up bust and gentle compression at the waist, with some adjustability at the centre back with the lacing fastening.
