Mjød Cotton Bobbinet Tulle Cutaway Underwire Bra

This graphic bra shape is a signature Karolina Laskowska style, with a striking cutaway cup. This style is crafted from a heavy-gauge cotton bobbinet tulle, and trimmed with a fine Valenciennes lace at the neckline. The signature bra wings are made from strips of adjustable satin elastic with 24ct gold plated components, allowing the wearer to fit the garment to their preferences. This bra can be made either unlined, or with your choice of skin tone sheer tulle. A lining is recommended for additional bust support, and the product photos show a beige tulle lining.

The bobbinet tulle used in this garment was selected for its uniqueness. It was created on leavers machines by the last remaining English manufacturer, the same machines responsible for some of the world's most beautiful lace. These machines are antique and must be threaded and tensioned completely by hand. When the laces are taken from the loom, it is normal for areas to feature small faults that are later hand-repaired. Whilst this is not usually visible in busy floral patterns, it is entirely more evident in such a strictly regular hexagonal pattern. You may find small areas of your garment featuring these delicate hand repairs: these are not considered a fault, but instead a reminder of the extensive hand crafting that goes into this beautiful fabric. As with organic honeycomb, the lack of total perfection simply adds to its charm.

Fit & Sizes

This style is sized by cup size, with a highly adjustable band. This underwired bra has a 2 part cup and offers a supportive and rounded shape to the bustline, rising to the nipple line on most bodies. The signature adjustable band allows this bra to be adjusted to band sizes 30-36 in most sizes. We can offer free of charge customisation to the band measurements of this style, but please contact us to discuss this before placing your order. 

Sizes KL 14-16 will be made with a wider satin strapping for greater comfort and support.

Garment Care

Recommended gentle hand wash in cool water. Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry.
